Are SmartSource coupons free?
Of course! Just like the coupons you get in the Sunday paper, our online coupons are free to you. These deals come straight from the manufacturers who want to give you an incentive to buy their product.
What are the system requirements I need to print coupons?
SmartSource coupons can be printed from Windows XP or Vista machines using Internet Explorer's browser version 6.0 and higher, or Firefox 1.0 and higher. Our technology may work on older pc systems and browsers but we do not guarantee performance or provide technical support for earlier versions. CompuServe, Linux and WebTV systems are not supported. SmartSource coupons are also compatible on Macs running OSX 10.4 (Tiger) or 10.5 (Leopard), and using Apple's Safari browser. You may be on a supported system but get an error message saying that your system is unsupported. This occurs if you are running an application that blocks the detection of your operating system for security or personal reasons. If this is the case, you will not be able to print our coupons. You must have a working printer connected to your computer. SmartSource coupons cannot be saved electronically to your desktop for printing sometime later or somewhere else. Your printer must be able to produce at a resolution of 300-dpi. Lower resolutions or draft-mode settings will not produce coupons legible enough and may result in a printer error, or be unable to scan at the checkout. Please be forewarned that computers in corporate environments or public access places often have firewalls that can prevent users from downloading our Coupon Printer.
What is the SmartSource Coupon Printer and why do I need it?
The SmartSource Coupon Printer is a small Active X browser plug-in (or Mac applet) that enables you to print our coupons directly to your printer. It allows for high-quality coupons that will scan at the register. It also controls the number of coupons that can be printed in order to prevent fraud and protect the manufacturer. This is why retailers trust SmartSource coupons. Installation of the SmartSource Coupon Printer is required in order for our coupons to print.
How do I install the SmartSource Coupon Printer?
Just select the coupons you want, and click the "Print Now" button. You'll be automatically prompted to activate our Coupon Printer if you need to. There will be onscreen instructions specific to the system and browser you're using. But in general, the download will begin after you click an "activate" button and will only take a few seconds. Your coupons will start to print when installation is complete. Depending on your browser's security levels, you may also be asked to "trust" our download. Downloading the SmartSource Coupon Printer is part of the printing process. It cannot be emailed and installed separately. If you have problems with the installation, click here to see our troubleshooting guide.
Is the SmartSource Coupon Printer safe to install?
Absolutely. Installing the Coupon Printer will not expose your computer to any virus, spyware, adware, or computer conflict. You can rest assured knowing that the SmartSource Coupon Printer is issued by News America Marketing, a News Corporation Company. Protection software leaders like Symantec, McAfee, and Trend Micro all recognize our product as safe and secure. If you are concerned about warning messages from your computer, see our troubleshooting section about this topic.
Will stores accept these coupons?
SmartSource printable coupons should be redeemable at any store that accepts regular coupons – after all, we're the same company that puts those regular coupons in the Sunday paper! News America Marketing has relationships with most retail chains who understand this. Unfortunately, sometimes local store managers make their own policies. If a store manager does not accept our coupons, please present this letter which explains how SmartSource is a leading provider of valid printable coupons.
How many coupons can I print?
Each SmartSource printable coupon is usually limited to print 2 times only (allowing for a second attempt in case the first one failed.) The limit is set by each manufacturer to control their cost. If you share a computer with other users, please understand that each user doesn't get 2 prints; the limit is per computer, not person. After an offer has reached its overall program print limit, it will disappear from our website. If an offer can't be printed due to the limit restrictions, a message will explain this on the confirmation page, as well as list any offers that did print.
How many coupons can print on a page?
Our regular coupons can print up to 3 on a page. But the national brands who provide these free savings to you have the option to add their promotional content below their coupon as well, in which case they take up a full printed page. Depending on the order that selected offers are sent to your printer, a full page coupon may interrupt single, regular coupons from falling 3 to a page.
When, and how often, will new offers be available?
We usually add 3 to 5 new offers a week. Check back regularly, or sign up to receive our New Coupon Alert emails so we can make it easy for you. (This feature may not be available on all sites, if it is, you will see a big blue button near the top right of the offers page that says "Get Coupons by Email").
How long will an offer be available online?
Each offer has its own duration set by the manufacturer - usually, an offer is available to print for up to 6 weeks or until it reaches the total number that the manufacturer wants to distribute. Popular offers may only stay up for a few weeks. The best way not to miss out on new coupons is to sign up for our New Coupon Alert emails (see above.)
When do coupons expire?
The expiration date is printed on each coupon, usually 45 days from the day it was printed.
Are these the same offers found in the weekend paper?
SmartSource online coupons are usually different than the ones you find in the weekend paper, so smart shoppers often check both sources.
Can you mail the coupons to my U.S. postal address?
No. For security reasons our printable online coupons may only be printed by consumers from the Internet. There are strict print limits per computer and because of this fraud protection feature printing additional online coupons for distribution via U.S. mail is not possible.
Can I trust you with my email address?
Of course. SmartSource is committed to the highest privacy standards. If we collect your email address, it will not be sold to any other third party without your consent. Read the SmartSource Savings Network privacy policy to learn more.
How can I unsubscribe from your emails?
It's easy to unsubscribe from our emails. There's always an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of every email we send. Click that link and submit your request to be unsubscribed. Please allow up to five business days for your request to be processed and for your email address to be removed from future mailings. If you've used the "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of our emails, but you're still getting emails from us, please forward (FWD) it to webmaster@smartsource.com (clicking the "reply" link from the email will not work.) Please put "Unsubscribe link not working" in the subject line so we can give it immediate attention.
Why can't I find the offer featured in your email?
Our New Coupon Alerts may feature some offers that are not available to you because your specific retail site does not stock it, or it may be unavailable because its print limit has been reached.
